Giles Island offers guests the very best in amenities. Giles Island lodging facilities are air-conditioned and heated. The water supply is from Concordia Parish Water Works. Electricity is supplied by Concordia Electric Cooperative, Inc. All sewage systems are either septic tank or waste water treatment centers. Overnight guests will enjoy full maid service.
The Antlers Lodge, our commons area, is 6700 square feet and is equipped with a handicap access ramp and bath, a trophy room with bar and entertainment center, kitchen and dining area, game room with pool table and satellite TV, indoor/outdoor fireplace, Giles Island Gift Shop,washer/dryer, and plenty of breakout area for small group gatherings.
The Trophy Room and back porch offer a magnificent view across a hardwood bottom with a lighted food plot where deer, turkey and dove feed every day.
The walls of the Game Room are filled with old photographs of the owner, F. Speed Bancroft and his father depicting some of their most cherished hunting and fishing trips. Our wall of fame features photos of the best deer taken on the island.
The Sipping Shack is our most luxurious accommodation. This log cabin includes 2 Bedrooms, 2½ bath, whirlpool, kitchen and washroom. The stone fireplace makes it the perfect spot to spend a weekend in comfort and seclusion.
Close by the Antlers Lodge is Fort Bragg, which sleeps 8. There are two separate apartments with each having two queen size bunks, bath, and porch.
Totaling 5,750 square feet, Tree Tops will have 7 bedrooms and 7 1/2 baths. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and is handicap accessible. It will also have a full kitchen, spacious bedrooms, living area furnished with antiques, prints, and ruigs, gas log fireplace, large front porch, spacious garage area underneath, outside fireplace and grill, a boot room, courtyard, satellite TV, and a generator large enough for the entire building along with full amenitites.
