Turkey Hunting
Imagine waking up early and hunting a 24 pound turkey with a 12 inch beard and 1 ¼ inch spurs first thing in the morning.
Next, envision an ice chest overflowing with white perch and bass that you caught before lunch from one of our eight lakes here on Giles Island. Sometimes the fishing here is so good you have to hide behind a tree to bait your hook.
Turkey season begins mid-March and continues through May 1st. Since we accept only three hunters per day over our 9,400 acres, each hunter can roam 3,133 acres of territory for our Trophy Eastern Wild Turkeys. All of our hunts at Giles Island are semi-guided, but personal guide service is available on every hunt. The average score of the birds harvested here is 65 NWTF.
