Located only 15 minutes from Natchez, Mississippi, Giles Island is recognized as the premier fair chase trophy White Tail Destination of the South. The island supports a deer population of over 1,000. Our Buck-to-Doe ratio is one to one, with the average buck weight at some 200 pounds. We've had bucks tip the scales at 280 pounds! Giles Island is truly a deer hunter's paradise.
Giles Island offers a variety of hunting situations, from dense thickets to wide open fields. There are 150 acres of fall and winter food plots planted annually, ranging in size from a quarter acre to 12 acres in size.
Fishing, duck, dove, turkey, and squirrel hunting and other small game favorites give Giles Island a variety many hunting destinations just don't have. Bird watchers, nature lovers and all outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy a unique experience, starting with a short boat ride across Old River to a large secluded island surrounded by the Mississippi River.
